Getting started

Supabase Authentication

Supabase Authentication

Since Dreambase is built on top of Supabase Auth and infrastructure we require a Supabase Connection to get started.

Supabase Authentication as Workspace Owner

Create a Dreambase account
  1. Create an account by signing in with Google, Github, or email + pass

  2. When you login you'll be redirected to our onboarding process

Connect to Supabase (required)

Click "Connect Supabase" and we'll send you to Supabase for approval. Keep in mind:

  1. We use a few permissions as possible

  2. We only require WRITE for SQL queries since Supabase MCP requires it

  3. When you select a Supabase project we ONLY access that project ever

Testing Supabase Connection
  1. When you connect you are routed back to Dreambase Onboarding

  2. The projects dropdown should now be enabled, select your project

  3. You should now be able to click "Start Analysis"

Supabase Authentication as Workspace/Project Member

If you were invited to a Workspace or Project as member or guest, you'll need your own Supabase Auth connection to create new projects and reports.

From the Workspace Overview, you'll see a red alert if you don't have an active connection. Click the "Connect to <project>" button for Supabase OAuth.

ProTip: You'll need to be a Supabase developer or admin in your Supabase Org. If you don't have this access talk to your company's Supabase Admin.
